What Causes Lightheadedness, Numb Arms And Temporary Loss Of Vision?

Hi Dr. A cpl weeks ago I completely lost vision in my left eye. I was on the computer. It came back fully after about an hour. Before that happened I noticed at work I would feel somewhat faint headed when I would get up and down after cleaning. I work in an animal shelter so there is much of this up and down motion. I also have been experiencing just lately that I wake at night and my arms are numb, like the have fallen asleep. I was laying down resting just now and my head felt like it fell asleep too, like a weird tingly sensation.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the light headedness, numb arms and temporary loss of vision signifies underlying major level disorder. Among many possibilities, common one is multiple sclerosis condition, an auto immune phenomenon with repeated thrombi or emboli episodes. Kindly consult your primary care physician and ophthalmologist for best clinical evaluation and further guidelines accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
