What Causes Light Vaginal Bleeding After Having Sex?

A week ago from today me and my boyfriend had outercourse and i was wearing an underwear and he was wearing his boxers. This did not lead to intercourse. So yesterday I had sex for the first time and my boyfriend put his penis in my vagina but not all the way in. It hurt a lot and i told him to stop. After we were done, I went to the bathroom and I was bleeding very little. Today I m bleeding again. And it s light bleeding, its not like a menstrual cycle. Could I be pregnant? Please help me. I can t stop stressing out.

Diabetologist 's  Response
Hello,

The bleeding notice can be due to rupture of a membrane known as hymen. This is usually intact in virgins. May rupture on first intercourse causing the bleeding. Should stop in a day or two.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
