What Causes Light Spotting For A Week In A Person With Obesity?

I am very concerned...I have not had my period for 4months which is normal for me since I am overweight but when I have my period it is usually a really heavy flow or a regular flow ...But this time I have had light spotting for about a week now ...I hope to hear back

Hi, I think if you are sexually active, do a urine pregnancy test at home to rule out pregnancy. If negative, then it can be due to some hormonal imbalances. Get a thyroid profile and prolactin levels and a ultrasound for your uterus and ovaries done to find out the cause of irregular periods as well as the lighter periods now. It can be due to some thyroid disorder or polycystic ovaries.
