What Causes Light Headedness In A 9 Year Old?

My 9 year old daughter has been having light headed-ness the past two afternoons. Yesterday she almost past out but felt better after drinking an orange juice. It was suggested that her blood sugar could be low due to a possible growth spurt. Is this possible?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be due to persistent hypotension. However, we have to rule out other possible causes like anemia and electrolyte imbalances also.

If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
