Hi, Light brown bleeding around menstruation remaining for a week followed by heavy bleeding can be premature separation of inner uterine lining because of excessive physical stress / mental tension. Implantation bleeding (in child bearing age) followed by heavy bleeding due to a blighted ovum / impending abortion due to progesterone deficiency. Bleeding without pain can be controlled by Cap. CVP (gynecology) over the counter. In case bleeding is excessive with pain OR long lasting you should consult a gynecologist for internal check up & needful treatment. You should take rest.
