What Causes Light And Brown Vaginal Bleeding?

I got what i think is my period tuesday, 4 days before my expected period. Normally my flow is mild to heavy, and last 4 days. For the last 3 days, its been light and brown, today, i ve noticed only drops of blood when using the bathroom. Could this be implantation bleeding, taking into consideration i had sex during my ovulation time. I am 20, 98 pounds and this has never happened to me before.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Yes it could be implantation bleed or spotting which you are experiencing.
To be sure of it, it will be advisable to do a urine pregnancy test done. If it is negative you can wait for 3-4 days post your usual expected date of period and repeat once more after that.
Kindly consult your gynaecologist if it is positive so as to get a proper consultation as for the further management.
I hope I answered your question satisfactorily. If you have any more query kindly write back to me, will be happy to help you out.
Thank you.
