Hi thanks for using Healthcaremagic
Here we have two problems ,one is cirrhosis of liver and next is Diabetes.Cirrhosis of liver can lead to hypo-albuminemia(protein) in the serum which can eventually lead to water retention and edema.Cirrhosis also causes a condition called portal hypertension which can lead to decreased platelet in the blood.Bluish discolouration may be due to low platelet count and deranged prothrombin time.
please check s.protein and albumin
platelet count ,PT/INR
proper correction of the abnormalities can relieve the symptoms
Liver is the storage house of glycogen(glucose).Cirrhosis patients blood sugar will be fluctuating and some of the oral drugs are not advisable during cirrhosis.Hence short acting analogue insulin is better ..
hope the discussion helped you..thank u..
