HI DOCTOR, I AM ANIKET AGE 29 HIGHT 5.2 ,HAVING VERY MILD PAIN ON BELOW OF LEFT RIB CAGE,IT COMES AND GOES AWAY....DR.SUGGESTED ME TO LIPID AND LFT TEST ..IN TEST SGOT IS 63 AND SGPT IS 70 AND TRIGLYCERIDES IS 195........WHAT MAY BE THE POSSIBLE REASON FOR THIS INCREASED VALUES...
As per your query you have left-sided rib cage pain and SGOT is 63 and SGPT is 70 , triglycerides 195 . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to maay reasons like cardiac related problem like angina , lung infection , muscle spasm , liver related problems , acid reflux and compression fracture . But in your case as SGPT levels are greater than SGOT , which represent viral hepatitis B and C, fatty liver, certain hepatotoxic drugs, and autoimmune liver diseases , Also your triglycerides level is also on the higher side . O would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist and get evaluated for liver disease ( blood tests and liver biopsy ) like hepatitis and cardiologist and get eveluated for cardiac problem like atherosclerosis without any delay .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
