Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Sometimes, headache may have more severe causes like brain mass or other structural abnormalities in brain. Although considering your history of chronic migraine, this may be just worsening of migraine; however, if its localized on left side and headache pattern has changed recently, a brain imaging (CT or MRI) should be done to rule out secondary causes.

Hope that helps. If you have any further questions, I shall be glad to have you in follow-up.
