Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hi I am suffering from chest pain on the left side... at times the pain shifts to the center of the chest... I carried out ECG tests twice in two days and both the reports show the same results - NORMAL. since the pain was still existent, my doctor asked me to go for Lipid test and a chest X-ray scan... the cholesterol levels are well in limits.. to be specific they are on the lower side of the required range. the X-ray scan too shows the organs in regular and intact position.. I am being prescribed Drego-D once a day in mornings and Ecosprin in the nights by the doctor... any suggestions.. will be of great help.. as to what problems i am having.. ?? Thanks in advance.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have left sided chest pain . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like heart attack , angina , pericarditis , myocarditis , acid reflux , pneumonia , viral bronchitis broken rib , sore muscles or compression fracture . I would suggest you to consult chest specialist for chest infection diagnosis , gastroenterologist for acid reflux and orthopedic surgeon for muscle or rib problem . For now eat light and non spicy , take small and ferquent meals , take antacid after every meal , take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and apply warm compresses on chest .
