What Causes Laryngitis And Stiffness In The Neck?

wondering if there is often a relationship between laryngitis and a stiff neck. I hada sore throat about 10 days ago for about 3 days then had common cold symptoms. seemed to be recovering then woke up with stiff neck on right side and next day had laryngitis.so currently no cold symptoms but stiff neck and laryngitis for the past 4 days
