What Causes Large Red Round Lesion On The Fore Arm After Working In The Gardens?

yes, my Dad was working with the roses out in the yard yesterday. And today, he has a large red round lesion on his forearm. It is round, red with purple margins, about an inch across. In the center of the lesion, he has what looks like a scratch. Do you know what this could be??

Hello,

His symptoms could be related to a tick bite or a spin from the roses. I recommend you to put pressure in the center of the lesion. If it hurts, it may be a spin, which may need to be pulled out.

For this reason, I would recommend consulting with his attending physician for a physical exam.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
