What Causes Knot Under My Armpit?
MY HUSBAND IS 43 YRS OLD. YESTERDAY HE NOTICED A KNOW UNDER HIS ARMPIT. (HARD, DOES NOT MOVE) HE CALLED HIS PCP, WENT TO THE OFFICE AND THE DR PRESCRIBED HIM AN ANTIBIOTIC AND SENT HIM FOR LABS WHICH INCLU, CBC AND ONE THAT COULD TEST TO SEE IF HE MAY HAVE GOTTEN AN INFECT FROM OUR CAT. TODAY ON THE SAME ARM (FOREARM), HE HAS HAD 2 OTHER KNOTS APPEAR.

It could be due to infection and associated inflammation .
I prescribe Antibiotic like Clindamycin capsule 600mg thrice daily along with anti inflammatory tablet to my patients with similar complaints.
It will get subsided.
If pus is collected, it has to be drained.
Hope he is not a diabetic.
