What Causes Knot On The Collar Bone?

I have a knot on the inside corner of my collar bone. It is not painful, however I have felt as if I have a kink in my neck and shoulder for about 10 months now. I experience pain in my right arm about 2 inches above my wrist on the left side of the front of my arm. The knot has appeared only within the last week or so.

Hi! welcome!

After going though your description of the painless nodule on the collar bone, if I were your treating doctor, I would like to consider following possibilities like:

1. a lymph node due to chronic infection in local area; however, it could be related to tuberculosis or cancer in elderly people

2. benign lesions like lipoma, neurofibroma, sebaceous cyst etc...

Therefore, you need a simple needle biopsy for confirmation; regards!
I find this answer helpful
