What Causes Knot In Between Buttocks?
My dad has been having pain in his butt since wenesday last week and he went to a doctor today and they said it was golf ball sized knot in his butt crack and told him to go to the er but the wait for the er would be 7 to 9 hour wait, Im just wondering what it could be? He has gone pee but not poop.

It seems that there might be having abscess formation on the part giving this problem.
If pus is formed, it should be excised and drainage of pus required.
If there is no pus formation and just induration, a course of antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicines will cure the infection.
You have to go to ER, clinical examination will give exact nature of his problem.
