I fell down the stairs Friday. Scratched and bruised elbow and a knot on my head. Nothing major. I woke up this morning with a knot directly behind my left ear and another know about 2inches away. It is very sore. Could this be related to my fall?
I can understand your concern for knot behind ear due to an injury.
In my view correlating with the facts you have provided it would be simple cystic swelling due to collection of blood so do not worry about any serious possibility in the same.
I suggest you to not to touch or pinch and pop the area otherwise it can get infected. It may take few weeks of period of time to get better so have patience. You can take a anti-inflammatory drug such as paracetamol or diclofenac for few days.
All the best
