What Causes Knee Pain After An Injury?

Hi I wondering I took a fall off my porch onto the sidewalk about 3 months ago but I am still having trouble with my knee I cant lead off with my left leg because my knee has pain or to step up with it but once I am up its ok should I have it checked ? It also feels like its going out

it may be torn ligament.can take xray kneejointand consult orthopaedic surgeon . apply kneecap and give rest to joint. it can be clinically examined and diagnosed.
