What Causes Joints Pain In Hip, Knee And Ankle?

I have pain in my joints, it moves - sometimes a hip, sometimes a knee, sometimes an ankle - if I stop and move the joint - it will alleviate the pain - but it will persist for a week or more in only one joint and finally go away only to reappear in another joint. Should I be concerned about this? It s like there is an air bubble in that joint that causes the pain, Is that possible? I am 54 year old female with heart disease.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* The joint pains at multiple sites of hip, knee and ankle indicate underlying osteoarthritis condition due to degenerative joint disorder most likely.

* If you can provide me details of your x-ray plates , better guidance would be possible through that. Till that time, I can suggest that

- local application of heating pad
- use analgesic spray or ointment containing diclofenac or Capsaicin
- analgesic and anti inflammatory medicinesas neproxen or others
- assisted physiotherapy
- control of body weight
- blood sugar and cholesterol control.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
