What Causes Jerking Movements In The Neck And Body?

I have neck and body movements that move or jerk on their own,sometimes my head will turn to the right or left without me doing so,my shouldrs seem to be so tense that they will literally drop or slump when I m aware of it,especially when I go into the sun..I am so tense that I m in slight pain,Ive been to my DR.anf I seem to have Physo-somatic problems,but what causes all of this?what can I do to give me relief,i am a recovering alcoholic,i have Zanax which I know would relax me,but I do not take it,because of addiction,what can I do?Thank you...

YOu need some other benzodiazepines which will stabilize nerves and muscles and this all may be consequence of alcoholism.
