I got my traggus peircing about 5 months ago and more in the last month I have been getting severe jaw pain where it locks and I can t open my mouth past a certain point. Wondering if this has a link with my peircing that seems to be completely healed or it is something else I need to be concerned about

Hi,

There is no connection between tragus piercing and jaw pain. Both are completely different from each other. Jaw pain is mostly due to subluxation of temporomandibular joint (TMJ).

So better to consult an oral surgeon and get done X-ray of the jaw to rule out subluxation. Avoid hard to chew food. Avoid excessive talking.

Take painkiller and muscle relaxant drugs.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
