Hi, Your boy friend may be having candidal intertrigo. It is a fungal infection caused by candida albicans. There may be peeling,whitish and greenish lesions in web between the little and fourth toes. There may be burning,itching or pain. The disease may be complicated by bacteria leading to secondary bacterial infection. Tell him to consult dermatologist for firm diagnosis,investigations and treatment. Antifungal like itraconazole or ketoconazole may be given to him for about two weeks with antihistaminics and antibiotics. Apply antifungal cream like clotrimazole cream.
