Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My ring finger on my left hand started itching 2 nights ago. when I woke up the next morning, there were very small bumps all over that finger. the pad of this finger feels slightly numb, but the tip of the finger is not numb. there is minimal swelling. I have since noticed the very small bumps on the side of my pinky finger on same hand. I have no other symptoms. No new detergents/lotions/jewelery. What could this possibly be?
This can be dermatitis and a local cream with betamethasone might help. Try to not use rings at the moment as the fingers can swell and make the ring difficult to remove and also cause problems with blood flow in the finger and more serious problems.
Avoid touching chemicals with the bare hands and keep your hands away from moist.
If you don't notice any improvement in 3-4 days or you notice any worsening please contact your doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj,
General & Family Physician
