What Causes Itchy Red Raised Circle On Elbow And Thumb?

I have a red raised circle on both my elbow and on my thumb. Both itch immensely. I thought they were regualr bug bites, possibly from a misquito, but they have returned now three times in the exact same spot. After a day they start to form into a blister. Is it an allergy, or a skin disease? I find it odd that they occured in the exact same spot.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a fungal infection. You can send a photo for further evaluation. Meanwhile,I suggest using an anti fungal cream for local application such as Clotrimazole cream. I also suggest using Cetirizine 10 mg to prevent the itching.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
