What Causes Itchy Red Bumps On Scalp And Ears Despite Using Benadryl?

My daughter had been getting sick yesterday. Then she ran a slight fever which I gave her motrin for, she woke up today with a rash on her ears neck and cheeks. I gave her benedryl and a cool cloth, hoping it would help. It seemed to help for a while but then her ears nap of the back of her head and arm are itching and red with little bumps.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain your daughter seems to have a Viral infection leading to rashes and fever..
Nothing to worry as gradually when the virus will run its course gradually the infection will subside..
You can continue giving her anti allergics like Benadryl..
Do cool compresses over the rashes..
You can also apply Calamine lotion as it will help soothing the skin and relieving itching..
In case if there is no improvement or symptoms worsen consult a General Physician and get evaluated..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
