Greetings from the healthcare magic members,

I can understand your concern. You have developed hives, also called urticaria in medical terminology. They can appear on any area of the body and can disappear and reappear over short period of time. Any allergen or stimulus can trigger the production of these itchy red or skin colored bumps. The itching can be mild to severe. First of all, try to find out the triggers for which you have do the following steps.
1. Keep a track on the food items that you have recently taken that may end up in break outs (especially peanuts, shrimps, shellfish, berries etc)
2. Any medications in your recent use such as antibiotics especially penicillin and sulfa drugs
3. Tight clothing such as a very tight sleeves etc

If you can relate this to any food item or drug then discuss it with your physician. If you can't find out the reason then your physician will do several laboratory tests to identify the allergen. Once the trigger is identified, you have to refrain yourself from it and strictly avoid that food, drug or any other substance that may be the reason of these break outs.

For further questions, please do not hesitate to ask me. I hope this answer helps.

Best regards,
Dr. Khoja
