What Causes Itchy Rashes On Arm, Face And Torso In Spite Of Using Prednisone?

I have a itchy burning rash on my arm. Two months ago this same rash was on my face, arms, all over my torso and in groin area. I went to my doctor she gave me predinose for 10 days. All of the rash cleared up except for the area on my left arm. Today I am noticed that there are patches returning on my lower torso. Can you help? Nothing seems to help, I have tried taking benadryl makes it worse. I am using gyleren soap and GoldBond lotion for diabetics.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itchy rashes on arm, face and torso in spite of using Prednisone. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like allergic reaction, side effect, sensitivity to sunlight , eczema , psoriasis or seborrheic dermatitis. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to keep the site clean and dry , apply over the counter antibiotics ointment , take over the counter antihistamine like benadryl and protect it from sun ray exposure. apply cold compresses and do not touch or prick these rashes. If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe corticosteroid ointment , antibiotics or immunosuppressants .
