Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a itchy rashy area on my lower shaft and scrodum that itches like crazy and the skin around the rash gets dry and flakey. I don t have any discharge or pain or fever just intense itching sensitive rash from scratching, the rash has moved to my pubes, what could this be? It started after I had sex and broke two condoms during sex the intense itching started the next day!
Hello and thank your for your question! There are different causes for penile rashes as you describe above. The most common causes for rashes includes : infections (usually sexually transmitted disease), presence of fungi, allergies. or inflammatory skin diseases.I would reccomend to seek medical care for further evaluations instead of trying with over the counter skin creams. So the first thing to do is to get checked for any sexually transmitted disease possible. If the resulst will come back positive, you should start an antibiotic treatment depending on the agent of infection. Best regards!
