What Causes Itchy Flesh Colored Bumps On Elbows?

I have small itchy flesh colored bumps on both of my elbows. When I straighten out my arms they appear to just be in the little pit posterior to the antecubital fossa in anatomical position. I haven t come into contact with any poisonous plant such as poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac. What could they be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a contact dermatitis. I suggest using an antihistamine such as Cetirizine 10 mg daily to relieve the itching. I also suggest using a Hydrocortisone lotion for local application. Cold compresses can also be helpful.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
