What Causes Itchy Ear, Painful Throat With White Spots?

Hi, The inside of my right ear has been itchy and now the right side of my throat hurts and I have a white spot on that side on the back of my throat. It s painful to swallow and I can feel it in my ear. I do have a runny nose and it s clear. I don t have a fever but I do feel sluggish, tired and achy now and then.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
This is a classical problem of granular pharyngitis. The itching and the pain in the right ( same side) ear can be due to a referred pain or actually have an infection in the middle ear. This can be confirmed by examination by an ENT Surgeon.
The other symptoms are indicative of an infection although not sufficient enough to give you fever.
I would advise you to visit a ENT Surgeon for ENT examination , get a prescription of an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicines.
Do not blow the nose, take warm foods and fluids.
You will be fine.
