What Causes Itchy Clitoris During Pregnancy?

I m 24 weeks pregnant and have developed really itchy clitoris. Nothing around the vulva doesn t feel like thrush either just really on the top of the clitoris. I haven t changed toilet paper although I do urinate more than usual obviously or changed washing powder. However I ve had a cold for a couple of days. What can I do to relieve and heal this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

From what you are describing, it seems that you are going through a urinary tract infection.

Get an urine analysis done together with vaginal swab testing to determine the infection and get it treated accordingly.

For the moment, I advise to:
- increase fluids (water) intake
- take urine alkalinizers
- take probiotics
- keep good genital hygiene
- apply yogurt locally

All the best!
