What Causes Itchy Bumps Inside The Upper Legs?

I have bumps and am raw on the inside of my upper legs. I believe this might be yeast infection. Moisture collects in this area. I ve tried medicated powder to keep the area dry but it s not helping. Also this area itches and has a slight order. What can I get over the counter. I m in another state for the winter and not able to get to my doctor to have it checked out.

Hi & Welcome to HCM.
You seem to be suffering from 'Jock itch' or Tinea cruris.
It is a fungal infection that affects the skin of your genitals and upper inner thighs. It is common in people who sweat a lot, as do athletes & in people who are overweight.
You can use an over-the-counter anti-fungal ointment, lotion, powder or spray containing Terbinafine or Clotrimazole. Apply the medication twice a day on the affected areas for at least 10 days.
If you also have athlete's foot (fungal infection), treat it at the same time. This will reduce the risk of recurrence. If jock itch is severe or doesn't respond to over-the-counter medicine, you may need prescription only antifungal pills like Fluconazole after visiting a GP.
Also take the following preventive measures to reduce the risk of recurrent fungal infection or Tinea cruris like:
Keep your groin area dry. Dry your genital area and inner thighs thoroughly with a clean towel after showering or exercising. Use powder around your groin area to prevent excess moisture.
Change your underwear at least once a day or more often if you sweat a lot.
Wear thin & loose cotton clothing undergarments in warm & humid weather.
Avoid tight fitting clothes, which can rub and chafe your skin and make you more susceptible to jock itch.
Don't let others use your clothing, towels or other personal items.
Control any athlete's foot infection to prevent its spread to the groin.
Regards.
