Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I noticed that after shaving down there I got a bump near my labia majora the size of about dime or smaller. At first I figured I nicked myself pretty hard until I took a closer look which it now seems to look like a ingrown hair? It s very itchy and irritated and feels rough. It s far down to where I cannot see it clearly, what can I do? Any suggestions of something else it could be?
I can understand your concern and would try to help you in the best possible way. A bump near the genital region could be a folliculitis or follicular abscess or ingrown toe nail or any other skin condition. It is best advised for you to consult a dermatologist or gynaecologist to get yourself physically examined. Once the diagnosis is made then a suitable management plan may be started for you.
