What Causes Itchy And Sore Vagina With Burning Sensation During Sex?

Hi! This weekend I was with my boyfriend and we were sexually active. On Saturday as we were sexual active when he went in me, it started to burn very badly. This was the 3rd time we had done it that weekend. We immediately stopped because the burning sensation was too much for me. The next morning we tried again and it started to burn again! Ever since then my vagina has been itching a little not a lot and it has been very sore. I am also on the birth control YAZ. I got put on it for the first time earlier this month, and am supposed to get my period yesterday. But instead I had just been discharging all of yesterday and I actually think I just got it. But anyway, today I went and bought the 3 day Monistat and I just put it in me. The itchiness down there is very very bad, worse than it was normally. Is this normal? Do you think I was only itchy the past couple days because I was getting my period? Is it normal to be SO itchy after taking monistat

Hello dear
I understand your concern
Your symptoms look like vaginal infection like bacterial vaginosis.
Sexual intercourse will increase the risk of infection.
Monistat cause itching in some case as side effect.
Vaginal examination by the gynecologist, vaginal swab test, microscopy will help in the diagnosis.
Doctor will give following advises:
Single dose treatment of azithromycin + fluconazole + tinidazole
Vaginal suppository of clingen and lactobacillus
Apply vagisil cream
Wash vagina with warm salted water and then apply apple cidar vinegar
Wear pure cotton loose inners
Maintain proper pelvic hygiene before and after sex
Drink plenty of water and eat healthy diet
