What Causes Itchy And Painful Lumps On Back And Neck?

Hi . I have itch little pin head lumps on back, front of body. Base of hair line on neck.on fingers pink and white lumps. Scratch and make them sore, cause sores and scrabs. I used to suffer from blocked sweat glands. Notof late though. Should I go to doctor. Beginning to drive me crazy with itch. Becoming a little painful.

Hi,

As per your query you have itchy and painful lumps on back and neck which seems to be due to contact dermatitis and could be allergic reaction due to detergent, soap , fragrance , chemical, metal such as in jewelry. I would suggest you to:
- Apply calamine lotion on these itchy areas
- Apply cold compresses and avoid any cosmetic product.
- Wear loose cotton clothes.
- Apply mucioprin ointment on these rashes.
You should consult dermatologist once for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe antihistamine medications along with corticosteroid ointment.
