What Causes Itching Throughout The Body Post Bathing?

Hello Doc...After taking bath i ll hv this itching sensation in my whole body...wat i noticed is, if i cover my body part immdtly after bath, this sensation ll reduce as tym passes however if i am bare body, it itches like anything and if i itch, it leaves red marks which goes after sometime. I observed this more during winter. Just a note that this problem with me since i was kid and got my senses. Currently i am 33+. Kindly help and suggest. I did contact doc n he advised me to take one tab daily of Mont Air lc however he said that i ll have to continue this prolong.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you are suffering from Contact Dermatitis that is due to allergic reaction to some unknown allergen..
As it occurs after bath, it can be due to allergic to to any soap, detergent, skin cosmetics etc..
Montair LC is an anti-allergic and hence is given to relieve the symptoms of itching only..
But O would still suggest you to consult an Allergist and get evaluated and he can advise you allergic tests like Prick test, Patch test, RAST test, Food Challenge test to rule out the exact cause of the problem and once the cause is diagnosed, try to avoid exposure to it..
You can be advised anti allergics and application of steroid ointment over the bumps..
Do cool compresses and apply Calamine lotion..
The Physician can also instil an Immunotherapy to reduce the severity of allergic symptoms..
