What Causes Itching Sensation On The Thighs?

I have itching on the inside of my thighs & also in my vulva. Had a bladderinfection and took antibiotics but this did not help. Have used Bactrian cream as prescribed but does not seem to help. I do have aplastic anemia and wonder if this part of it.

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itching sensation on the thighs which could be due to fungal infection of thighs mainly Tinea, as it localizes on body folds and thigh area.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you take oral tablets of Terbinafine for 1 week. Take a tablet of cetirizine 10 mg once daily for symptomatic relief from itching. Apply moderately potent topical steroid of triamcinolone acetonide at affected sites. You should clean the skin with soap and cold water and apply petroleum jelly. You should visit a dermatologist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription.
