What Causes Itching Sensation And Redness Of Skin Post Cryotherapy?

I received cryotherapy about two weeks ago. The site is healing but itchy and I found a small red bump next to the site. Which is also itchy. It looked as if there was a head to it, and clear liquid came out of it. What could this be? And is it cause for concern?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It sounds like the red bump you're describing could be a blister or a pimple, a common side effect of cryotherapy. The clear liquid is likely just fluid from the blister or pimple. If the blister or spot is not painful and healing correctly, it is not a cause for concern.

However, if you notice any signs of infection, such as redness, warmth, or increasing pain, or if the blister or pimple does not heal within a few days, it's best to consult a doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
