What Causes Itching In The Throat While On Losartan?

I was taken off of lisinoprol 3 weeks ago because of a cough and itchy throat. In replace of it, I was given Losartan. I am still experiencing an itchy throat and cough. How long does it take before the cough goes away? Could I possibly be having another allergic reaction?

Thanks for putting your query over here.
Losartan too can have cough as side effect as the pharmacological literature tells. What you need to do is visit your consulting physician and tell about the non relief of cough.Usually cough as a side effect to any drug should stop once that drug is discontinued within 4-5 days. Also it is necessary to rule out other causes of persistent cough.

Thanks and regards.
