What Causes Itching In The Leg After A Total Knee Replacement Surgery?

Hi. I just had a total knee replacement & there were some complications. I landed up having a bone spur underneath my pettellar tendon so my tendon is extremely weak after removing the bone spur. So I have to follow extremely strict restrictions for the next 6 to 8 weeks but my question is why would my leg be itching more so where the swelling is on my calf and on my upper thigh?
