Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

As per your case history of generalized itching, my treatment advice is:

1. Don't scratch the skin as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a soothing lotion like calamine lotion on affected region twice daily.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like Levocetirizine twice daily for 7 to 10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral steroids like Prednisone or Betamethasone, taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
