What Causes Itching Behind The Ears?

Hi I have itching behind both my ears and also on my right thigh. I dont remember eating anything diffferent from my regular food, so not sure if this is allergic. I tried Cortisone 1% as well as Diphenhydramine hydrochloride 2% cream and that does not seem to give much relief. Is there anything I can take to get some relief? What could be the reason for this?

Hi,

It may be atopic dermatitis. There may be some precipitating factor in the form of allergen. You consult dermatologist for firm diagnosis and investigations, that can help in treatment. You may apply tacrolimus oint 0.03 % or mild steroid cream. Take antihistaminics like levocetirizine. If needed, you may take steroids in tappering doses. Avoid soap bath. Be tension free and have positive attitude. You may be alright. I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
