What Causes Itching At The Site Of PICC Line?
I just had PICC line inserted on Wednesday for osteomyelitis in my metatarsals of my right foot. I have had several EJ s(external jugular line) and a port-o-cath inserted before so I am familiar with lines. I also am an RN my husband is a board certified Family Physician. However we have no experience with PICC lines. I constantly feel itching underneath the op-site dressing over my PICC line. It is driving me crazy. It also feels painful. Whenever I had any other type of line I felt nothing. So I am concerned. Thanks

there can be two reasons dor it. firstly it may be allergy due to dressing. secondly you are having inflammation of veins in which PICC line is inserted
