What Causes Itching And Inflammation In The Vagina?

I had a mild yeast infection before my period. It went away during the time of my cycle. I am now 11 days after my period and I m starting to itch again in my labia minora and it s slightly red. My discharge does not smell and it does not look like Cottage cheese. What is it? How to do I get rid of it?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The infection likely did not completely resolve during your period and this is a continuance even if all of the symptoms are present.

A topical antifungal might help get rid of the symptoms eg clotrimazole cream or miconazole.

These may be available over the counter.

I hope this helps
