What Causes Itching And Inflammation In The Vagina?

I am a 67 year old female. I currently have a vulva, labia and groin area that is reddened, itches to the point of madness, and has sores on the labia with yellowish drainage and slight bleeding. I tried an antifungal cream, an anti-itch cream and it made the condition worse. What is this, and how can I heal it?

Hi,

As per your history signs and symptoms, it looks like you might be having either fungal or bacterial infection. If the itching creak didn't stop or reduce the symptoms you may need systemic antifungal medication like Ketokenezole daily for a week.

Also take plenty of fluids so that the uroginital system remains clean and there is no dehydration. For proper diagnosis and treatment you need to visit a gynecologist as soon as possible.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
