Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic

The ointment you have been using is not an antifungal ointment. It contains a combination of clobetasol + salicylic acid.
Most likely you have developed irritant dermatitis due to saliylic acid. Salcylic acid, is an irritant and should never be used at these sites like axilla, inner thighs.
I would advice you to discontinue it immediately and bring this to the notice of your doctor.
Once the irritation resolves, you may either use an OTC antifungal cream e.g 1% clotrimazole cream, twice daily Or one of the prescription topical antifungal e.g sertaconazole, luliconazole etc, twice daily
An Oral antifungal e.g fluconazole may be started as well, for faster relief and if there is widespread involvement. This is a prescription drug and therefore I would suggest that you contact your doctor for the needful
An OTC oral antihistamine e.g cetrizine 10 mg once daily would provide you symptomatic relief from itching and discomfort.

Regards
