What Causes Itching All Over The Torso And Thighs?

For three weeks I have had random itching all over my torso and thighs with raised welts that look like bites. It is ever moving terrible itching.i have tried changing detergents for clothing and sheets with no success. I cannot take benedryl due to recent cataract surgery. My diet has not changed and there are no new meds.

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itching all over the torso and thighs which seems to be due to heat rash and contact dermatitis. Need not to worry. Avoid touching or pricking these red rashes. Consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe antihistamine, corticosteroid ointment and immunosuppressants. Apply cold compresses. Wear cotton clothes. Avoid direct sun exposure and avoid any cosmetic product. Apply calamine lotion.
