What Causes Itchiness And Pain In The Labia Majora?
My libia hurts really bad like it itches and burns I been with the same guy for 5 years having unprotected sex. We had sex a few days ago and during sex it was very comfortable. I am not sure if I should wait for a few days or go to the doctors. But I really can t take no time from work. My libia is usually large and I feel as if it s hanging and it hurts. The correct email address to reach me is YYYY@YYYY
I can understand your concern. The painful and itching labia indicates that it is infected with fungal growth. Individual personal hygiene may play a role in such growth.
I would advise you to take Fluconazole 150 mg (Fole) once a day for 7-10 days. You can also apply Betnovate-C cream (Betamethasone Valerate + Clioquinol) 2-3 times a day.
Do not wear too tight fitting clothes and switch to cottons if possible. Keep the area sterile while restricting use of scented soaps and perfumes. Always urinate after each and every sexual intercourse.
If you do not find relief in 7-10 days, you should go for vaginal swab analysis. I hope this information helps. Thank you for choosing HCM. Let me know if I can be of any other help.
Best, Dr. Viraj Shah
