What Causes Irritation And Soreness On The Foreskin Of Penis?

I am 75 yrs old. I have a foreskin on my penis and it became irritated and sore. I administered a salve (first aid) to the area and it has not improved. I have an uri and am on a strong antibiotics to prepare my body for heart surgery. What could be causing this irritation?

It may be due to some irritant or due to lack of cleanliness of the area. Keep the area clean with plain water many times a day and keep it dry. Don't use scented soaps. Take a shower with Oatmeal milk and honey body wash.

Apply Corticosteroid cream on the irritant site. Take Loratadine if itching disturbs.
