What Causes Irritation And Burning Sensation Around Vagina?
Hello. I noticed a few fingerlike projections around my vaginal opening a few days ago when I began having irritation in that area. It is accompanied by an itching/burning sensation and unusual discharge, like that of a yeast infection. I will be setting up an appointment with my ob tomorrow, but wanted some insight before hand in case I have cause for concern.

Thanks for the concern. According to history there might be fungal infection of vagina which causes irritation, itching, burning and unusual discharge. Most commonly it may be candidiasis and for that you can take chlorpheniramine maleate for itching and burning, clotrimazole vaginal tablets for three days and wash your vagina atleast two times a day and also you can take oral antibiotics for 7days. You have appointment with gynaecologist that will also help you more.
