What Causes Irritating Dry Rough Patch On Lips?
I have had a dry, rough patch on my lips for about 4-5 months now. It has gone away for a couple days at a time but always returns. It also scabs over, and when I pick it off, it becomes an unsightly dark red. After the color goes away, I am left with the uncomfortable dry patch and the cycle starts all over:
1) Dry patch
2)Scab & Peeling
3)Irritated Red mark
4) Goes Away for a couple days
5) Dry patch (starts again)

it unusual on tongue. may be leucoplakia so consult oncologist to rule out cancerous patch. if requered biopsy can be done. it is better to suspect the worst posibility and rule out. hope every thing is normal.
